DENVER -- Ron Roenicke was worn out from watching the baseball soar so much in just one game. Glen Rice Jersey . The Milwaukee Brewers skipper cant even begin to imagine playing half his games in this hitter friendly park. "Theres just so much that happens," Roenicke said. Especially on a humid night with no wind blowing. The baseballs were flying like the old days, before the humidor came into existence at Coors Field. Jean Segura homered twice and Ryan Braun had three hits in his 1,000th career game, helping the Brewers hold off the Colorado Rockies 13-10 on Friday night. "There are a lot of good ballparks to hit in. There are," Roenicke said. "But those balls were crushed." Indeed, they were. Khris Davis homered and Carlos Gomez extended his hitting streak to 16 games as the Brewers scored their most runs of the year and tied a season high with 19 hits. Segura said hes never had a multihomer game before Friday. He could definitely get used to hitting here. "Everybody likes hitting in this park," Segura said. "This place is great for hitters. Its amazing how balls go off the bat here, just go out in the field so quickly." Marco Estrada (6-4) was noticing the same thing. He didnt feel like he pitched all that bad. But then he looked at his line for the night -- seven runs in 5 2-3 innings and a career-most 10 hits -- and he cant help but wince a bit. "I still think I threw the ball really well," Estrada said. "Nothing you can do about it, just keep going." In their first game since being no-hit by Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, the Rockies got their league-leading offence back on track with a 16-hit evening, which included homers from Justin Morneau, Corey Dickerson and Brandon Barnes. Morneau finished with five RBIs. "Guys turned the page pretty well," manager Walt Weiss said. "(The no-hitter) was long forgotten when the game started." Christian Bergman (0-2) was roughed up as he allowed seven runs in three innings. The righty departed soon after taking a liner off the base of his left hand. "Its fine," Bergman said. "Its not broken, its just really swollen. Hopefully it cools down in the next couple of days." Roenicke had a feeling it was going to be a long night when the teams combined for 13 runs and 16 hits in the first three innings. "I thought it was going to be a big number (to win)," Roenicke said. About then, Estrada began to find his groove. He pitched three straight scoreless innings to give Brewers hitters a chance to open a gap. Milwaukee took the lead for good on Seguras second homer of the game in the third. The Brewers were leading 11-6 in the sixth when Dickerson hit a two-run homer -- his fourth hit of the game. An inning later, Barnes lined a two-run homer to make it 12-10. Milwaukee reliever Will Smith found himself in a precarious situation in the eighth. With two on and one out, Segura made a nifty play in the hole to snare Morneaus grounder and threw to second for a forceout. Smith then struck out Wilin Rosario to end the threat. Francisco Rodriguez struck out two of three in ninth for his 24th save in 26 chances. Gomez finished with three singles to stretch his streak of safely reaching base to 33 straight games. That ties him for the fifth-longest streak in franchise history. Braun was 3 for 6 with two doubles. He was booed each time he stepped to the plate in the wake of his suspension last season following Major League Baseballs investigation into the Biogenesis drug scandal. NOTES: Milwaukee, the best road team in baseball, improved to 4-1 on its seven-game trip. ... The Brewers will throw RHP Wily Peralta (7-5) on Saturday against LHP Christian Friedrich, who will be making his season debut. Friedrich missed most of last season with back inflammation. ... Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado (broken left middle finger) said his recent X-ray came back clean and that he hopes to begin batting as soon as next week. He put on his glove again Friday. "Felt a little weird," Arenado said. "But it felt good." Udonis Haslem Jersey . But San Diego had even more trouble against right-hander Tanner Roark, who pitched a three-hitter for the first complete game of his career as the Nationals shut out the Padres 4-0. The 27-year-old set down the first 16 batters before San Diego catcher Rene Rivera, an . Wholesale Heat Jerseys . The Brad Jacobs team from Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., advanced to Fridays championship game with a 10-6 win over Chinas Rui Liu in the semifinal. http://www.cheapheatjerseys.com/?tag=che...ing-jersey . I wondered how NHL coaches would feel about a playoff schedule that allowed them to open a best-of-seven series on the road, which many claim to favour, yet still gave them the precious home-ice edge for a seventh game.Paul Maurice returns to Carolina for the first time since taking over behind the bench in Winnipeg as the Jets visit the Hurricanes tonight. Viewers in the Jets region can catch the game on TSN Jets at 5:30pm ct/6:30pm et and listen to it on TSN Radio 1290 in Winnipeg. The Jets are 8-2-0 since hiring Maurice to take over for the fired Claude Noel. The surge has the Jets sitting only four points out of a playoff spot in the West. Maurice, of course, coached the Hurricanes during two separate stints from 1997-2004 and again from 2008-12. He led Carolina to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2002, when they to the Detroit Red Wings. The Jets picked up a 2-1 win Sunday afternoon in Montreal, as they kicked off a four-game road trip on a positive note. Michael Frolik scored the winner in the third period and Al Montoya made 30 saves to help Winnipeg pick up its fourth win in five games. "I made the first save and our guys were there to battle," said Montoya. "Any guy in front of the net, you mind him and take care of business." Tobias Enstrom scored the other goal for the Jets, who will visit Washington on Thursday before playing their final game before the Olympic break Saturday in St. Louis. This evenings tilt is the first of two scheduled encounters between the Jets and Hurricanes in 2013-14, as the former Southeast Division rivals are now in different conferences thanks to realignment. Winnipeg went 3-1-0 against Carolina in last seasons series and the Jets have won four of five and seven of the past 10 in this matchup. The Jets also have claimed three in a row and four of their past five in Raleigh. The Hurricanes could have Cam Ward in net for the first time in 2014 on Tuesday, as the goaltenders team shoots for its sixth win in seven games. The Hurricanes are 5-1-0 over their past six games and the club managed to post a 10-4-0 record in January despite Ward missing the entire month due to a lower-body injury. Kelly Olynyk Jersey. The clubs No. 1 netminder last played for Carolina on Dec. 31 when he earned a home win over the Montreal Canadiens. Ward recently completed a conditioning stint with the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League, going 1-1 with a 2.02 goals against average with Carolinas AHL affiliate. Its unclear if Ward, who is 6-7-5 with a 3.15 GAA and .895 save percentage this season, will start on Tuesday or if Anton Khudobin gets the call again. Khudobin, who was named the NHLs First Star for January, has started 13 of Carolinas last 14 games and he is 5-1-0 over his past six appearances. All told, the Russian netminder was 10-4-0 with a 2.19 GAA and .927 save percentage in January. Carolina had a four-game winning streak snapped last Tuesday in Montreal, but the Hurricanes rebounded from that 3-0 setback with Fridays 3-1 home victory against St. Louis. Jeff Skinner recorded the deciding goal early in the second period and Khudobin stopped 27 pucks for the win. Skinner, who leads Carolina with 23 goals this season, scored just his second goal of the last 10 games. Nathan Gerbe and Alexander Semin also tallied for the Hurricanes. "Right from the get go I thought our guys were focused," said Carolina head coach Kirk Muller. The Canes enter Tuesday with 59 points, leaving them three points behind final playoff spot in the East. Carolina is also only three points in back of Philadelphia and Columbus for third place in the Metropolitan Division. This evenings test is the second tilt on a four-game homestand that will cap Carolinas pre-Olympic break schedule. The Hurricanes are 14-10-5 as the host this season.
